The International Association of Music Librarians, IAML (UK & Irl), will be holding this year’s Annual Study Weekend on 1st-3rd April 2022 at St Anne’s College, Oxford. The study weekend is a great opportunity to network and keep up to date with music librarians and others who work with music. This year’s line-up includes presentations by music publishers and librarians on topics such as:
current library practice, with particular focus on music cataloguing ethics and music copyright
the range of media used in music libraries (audiovisual and online)
the effects of Covid on library curation and music research
the history of music in the host city and university, including tours of the music collections in Oxford’s public and academic libraries
The Music Libraries Trust is pleased to award a limited number of bursaries to students and library staff who would like to attend the ASW. Priority is given to those who would otherwise be unable to attend and who have no other sources of funding. Both full and part bursaries are available, which include up to £70 for travel expenses.
More information about the conference can be found on the IAML (UK & Irl) website here.
